Dear Business Colleague

The First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, has confirmed that Scotland will move Beyond Level 0 as of next Monday, 9th August 2021, with almost all of the country’s remaining COVID-19 restrictions being removed.

This means that the requirement for social distancing will be dropped in most settings and the limits on the number of people able to gather together will also be removed.
No businesses or venues, including nightclubs, will be required to stay closed by law.

However, face coverings must continue to be worn in all the same indoor settings as is the case now, such as shops and public transport.

Test and Protect will continue and hospitality and indoor venues will still need to collect customer contact details.
